While adolescents originating from India in California have very positive school results, in Canada in French language province of Quebec, their compatriots have a weak graduation rate. In the context of the increasing importance of South Asian immigration to California and Quebec, we are interested to understand why there is a difference between academic success of these adolescents in these two societies.

We (please read about us here) are inviting you to participate in a research project, which aims at answering this question. The answer to this question will help us to support these students in their integration into their respective host society. Achieving school success is a significant challenge faced by all students and their parents, including those of immigrant origin. Furthermore, it is an essential requirement for the economic stability, vitality and development of their community as well as that of the host country.

You can participate in this project if:

1) you are are a member of the Indian Hindu community living in Montreal or the Bay Area. Please click here.
